The San Diego County Bar Foundation held its 27th annual “Evening in La Jolla” event at the Scripps Seaside Forum, raising money for legal services for a variety of vulnerable populations. The event, which is a signature benefit for the San Diego legal community, aims to support immigrants, asylum seekers, low-income residents, survivors of domestic violence, people with disabilities, veterans, homeless individuals, and at-risk youths. In 2023, the foundation awarded $390,000 to 25 nonprofit organizations that provide these critical legal services. The funds also go towards public awareness education, ensuring that those in need are aware of their rights and options.
