The Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement with quarterback Dak Prescott on a four-year, $240 million contract, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history with $231 million guaranteed. Prescott, a fourth-round pick in 2016, has spent his entire career with the Cowboys and is heading into his ninth season. Last season, he set career highs in completions and touchdowns, leading the team to a 12-5 record but ultimately losing in the playoffs. Prescott’s new contract comes after a long negotiation process and he joins receiver CeeDee Lamb in signing a new deal this offseason. Both players are now signed through 2028. The Cowboys will face the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 opener.
