The Cure keyboardist Roger O’Donnell revealed his rare and aggressive lymphoma diagnosis in September last year. He completed 11 months of treatment, including immunotherapy, medication, and radiotherapy, and now has a positive prognosis. O’Donnell urged those experiencing symptoms of blood cancer to get tested early, emphasizing that early diagnosis significantly improves chances of beating cancer. He also encouraged fans to support and talk to those who are sick, as every word of encouragement helps. O’Donnell, who joined The Cure in 1987, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the group in 2019 but had to pull out of the Latin American tour last year due to health reasons. His message to fans and others is to prioritize early detection and support for those fighting cancer.
