In the L.A. City Section, Bell took down Angelou 22-6, while Arleta defeated Chatsworth 28-7. Gardena had a dominant 52-0 win over Crenshaw, Banning defeated Granada Hills 53-30, and San Pedro had a strong 42-7 win over G.H. Kennedy. Sylmar, Taft, and Panorama also secured victories in their matchups.
