Sergio Ferrer, 36, has been accused of murder and aggravated robbery in the death of Colorado dog breeder Paul Peavey, who was found dead with a gunshot wound. Ferrer was initially taken into custody on an unrelated warrant from Nebraska and was considered a person of interest in the homicide investigation. Peavey, who specialized in breeding European Dobermans, was last heard from on August 19th and his body was found five days later. As many as 10 puppies, all microchipped, were missing and may have been sold through social media sites. Ferrer has not yet provided details about a possible motive in the killing, and it is unclear if he has legal representation. The investigation into the case is ongoing, with law enforcement agencies working to locate the missing puppies.
