Lastly, an unnamed man died after a BASE jump attempt from Yavapai Point, with his body found 500 feet below the rim along with a deployed parachute. These tragic incidents highlight the dangers present in the Grand Canyon National Park, prompting further investigation into each case by park authorities and medical examiners.
