The University of Arkansas is offering Faculty Equipment and Technology Grants to support undergraduate research initiatives. The grants are available to clinical, tenured, and tenure-track faculty members who wish to purchase specialized equipment or technology to enhance research opportunities for undergraduate students. Up to $7,500 can be requested per grant, with a total of $100,000 available this year.
Since its inception in 2016, the Faculty Equipment and Technology Grants program has provided over $630,000 in funding to faculty members. Recipients have used the grants to acquire a variety of materials, from cutting-edge petroleum datasets to machines for developing technologies for counterfeit detection.
Funded by a portion of a $300 million gift from the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation, these grants are intended to support faculty members in enhancing their undergraduate research programs. The deadline to apply for this year’s grants is September 27th, and applications can be submitted online through the Honors College website.
The grants aim to support faculty members in conducting research that will make a transformational difference in their undergraduate research programs. For more information, faculty members are encouraged to visit the Honors College Faculty Resources page on the college’s Sharepoint site. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your research initiatives and provide valuable experiences for honors students at the University of Arkansas.
