Turner, a hometown hero from Lakewood who attended Cal State Fullerton, reflected on his time with the Dodgers and the impact of playing alongside legends like Clayton Kershaw and Matt Kemp. Despite no longer being a Dodger, Turner appreciated the opportunities he had to play in Boston, Toronto, and Seattle following his departure from Los Angeles.
During a pre-game ceremony honoring Turner, which included a $10,000 donation to the Justin Turner Foundation, fans showed their appreciation for the beloved former player. Turner expressed his gratitude for his time with the Dodgers and hinted at a future role within the organization once his playing days are done.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts praised Turner for his understanding of the game and his contributions both on and off the field. As Turner looks ahead to the future, he remains focused on what lies ahead but acknowledges that the Dodgers will always hold a special place in his heart.
