Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the August 6 incursion into Russia’s Kursk region was to create a buffer zone. Ukrainian forces destroyed a strategically important bridge over the Seym River and a drone attack triggered a fire at an oil storage facility in Russia’s Rostov region.
