Chris Sale leads Braves to victory over Angels – Daily News

In a dominating performance, Chris Sale led the Atlanta Braves to an 11-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium. Sale continued his success against the Angels, maintaining a streak of not allowing an earned run against them for 26 1/3 innings. He struck out 10 batters and only allowed two runs over six innings.

The Braves got off to a strong start with Marcell Ozuna hitting a three-run homer in the first inning. They continued to pile on runs throughout the game, with Whit Merrifield and Ramon Laureano also hitting home runs. Michael Harris II had three hits and scored twice for Atlanta.

On the other side, Angels starter Griffin Canning struggled, giving up seven runs in just 4 1/3 innings. Nolan Schanuel had three hits and scored twice for the Angels, while Kevin Pillar contributed with two hits and two RBIs.

Despite a late rally by the Angels, the Braves maintained a comfortable lead throughout the game. An error by the Angels in the seventh inning allowed the Braves to extend their lead to 11-2. In the end, the Braves emerged victorious with an 11-3 win.

The Angels’ record fell to 53-70, while the Braves improved to 65-58. The Braves’ offense was too much for the Angels to handle, and Sale’s strong pitching performance sealed the deal for Atlanta. The two teams are set to face off again in the remaining games of the series.
