New Evacuation Orders Issued in Gaza as 15 Reported Killed in Israeli Strike
Israel’s military spokesperson in Arabic has issued new evacuation orders in parts of central Gaza, including in the Maghazi district near Zawayda, following reports of 15 Palestinians being killed in an Israeli strike. The military spokesperson stated that militants were firing rockets from these locations, and preparations were being made to act against them. The order to evacuate to a designated humanitarian zone has been given, although it is not immediately clear whether the areas of Zawayda were included in the evacuation orders or if the residents received the instructions.
In response to the escalating violence, a strike by Hezbollah in northern Israel resulted in two soldiers being wounded by rocket attacks from Lebanon. Additionally, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in south Lebanon, causing injuries and fatalities. The death toll from an Israeli strike in Nabatieh, south Lebanon, has risen to 10, with victims identified as Syrian citizens. Meanwhile, the threat of polio in Gaza is increasing, prompting calls for a pause in the conflict to ramp up vaccinations and prevent a potential outbreak.
The situation in Gaza remains dire as the conflict continues to escalate, with reports of civilian casualties and a heightened risk of widespread disease outbreaks. Efforts to find a resolution to the conflict have so far been unsuccessful, with peace talks in Doha failing to produce a breakthrough. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and calling for an end to the violence to prevent further loss of life and suffering in the region.
