Experts suggest that Russia may be intentionally slowing down YouTube speeds as part of efforts to pressure the platform into reinstating blocked Russian channels. However, a YouTube spokesperson stated that they were aware of access issues in Russia but claimed they were not due to any actions or technical issues on their part. The situation highlights the ongoing tensions between tech companies like Google and the Russian government over content regulation and online freedoms.
