Naperville teenagers Adam Bodtke and Andrew Russell, members of the School of Rock AllStars band, recently performed on tour across multiple Midwest cities, showcasing their musical talents. Both teens have been playing music since they were in grammar school and were chosen to be part of the prestigious AllStars band, reserved for less than 1% of School of Rock musicians globally. The tour started last week in St. Louis and concluded in Memphis, with performances alongside local School of Rock bands in each city.

The duo, who are set to return to school in the fall, shared their passion for music and the experience of performing live on stage. Bodtke, a junior at Naperville Central High School, and Russell, a senior at Naperville North, emphasized the joy of pursuing their musical dreams during summer break. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share their talent with audiences across the Midwest.

Both teens have been influenced by various genres of music, with Russell starting on keyboards at a young age and Bodtke discovering his love for guitar. Their dedication to practice and continuous improvement culminated in their selection for the School of Rock AllStars band after a rigorous audition process. Their parents, excited and proud, accompany them on tour, offering support and encouragement.

Looking ahead, Russell aspires to work in the music production industry, while Bodtke aims to keep music as a central part of his life. Despite the challenges of balancing school and music, both teens find solace and stress relief in playing their instruments. Their upcoming gigs and performances demonstrate their commitment to pursuing their passion for music.
