Development has begun on a new television and film studio in downtown Los Angeles, named the East End Studios Mission Campus. The project, estimated at $230 million, aims to further establish the city as the entertainment production capital of the world. The 245,000 square foot studio, located in the Arts District, will include five stages ranging from 14,000 to 35,000 square feet.
The studio will also feature office suites, production and support spaces, a commissary, outdoor areas, parking, and direct-to-stage loading. The backdrop of the iconic Sixth Street Viaduct bridge will enhance the studio’s appeal to filmmakers and TV producers. East End Studios, an independent studio management and development company based in Los Angeles with studios in Queens, New York, is overseeing the project.
