Three men were stabbed during a fight that occurred in a Pacoima neighborhood in Los Angeles early on July 5. Two uninjured individuals were taken into custody by the police. The exact cause of the altercation in the 12300 block of Osborne Place, which was reported at 12:17 a.m., is unknown.
The incident took place during what was intended to be a festive event for families and children to enjoy fireworks. Witnesses reported that the fight escalated quickly, with one person being stabbed, a shot being fired, bottles being thrown, and a man being attacked after exiting a truck. Fireworks were also used as weapons during the brawl.
A neighbor recounted seeing a man injured with a stab wound on his side, bleeding as a result of the altercation. The extent of the injuries sustained by the victims and their current medical conditions are unknown at this time, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes, a spokesperson for the LAPD.
