Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian, Idaho, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with the opening of Camp IdaH2O, a new expansion featuring unique attractions like a giant tipping potato bucket and grumpy ram lifeguard. With 700 employees, including 200 lifeguards, the park is the largest employer of young adults in the Treasure Valley. The park uses 1.5 million gallons of water from the Snake River Plain aquifer to keep its attractions clean and operational. With a focus on sustainability, the park uses energy-efficient devices and recycles water through deck drains. Roaring Springs is the first outdoor water park in the nation to use the Ellis Aquatic Vigilance System for security, along with a network of security cameras throughout the park. Employees receive benefits like free season passes, half-off tickets for friends and family, and scholarship opportunities. Lost items such as dentures and wedding rings can be reclaimed by filling out a form within one week. The park is continually expanding, with plans to add new attractions every two to three years over the next decade. As the largest water park in the Northwest, Roaring Springs continues to provide a fun and safe experience for visitors of all ages.
