Din Tai Fung, a Michelin-awarded restaurant from Taiwan famous for its Shanghai-style soup dumplings, has opened a new location in Downtown Disney. The restaurant, known for its legendary soup dumplings that are already drawing long lines and booked weeks in advance, held a grand opening ceremony on July 1. Reservations are already booked out for four weeks, with a few spots available starting on July 29.
The new outpost in Downtown Disney is part of a multiyear project that demolished previous establishments to make way for new dining and shopping options. Din Tai Fung, a family-run chain with locations around the world, is expanding its portfolio with the new location in Anaheim. The restaurant, praised for its famous Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings, has been named as one of the 75 Best Places to Eat in Orange County.
During a media preview, the restaurant showcased a variety of dishes, with favorites including the Chicken Xiao Long Bao and Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao. The former features fresh chicken with aromatic ginger and green onion, while the latter offers a unique dessert option with a rich chocolate and mochi filling. The Chocolate & Mochi XLB comes highly recommended as a must-try dessert option at Din Tai Fung.
With its reputation for delicious and authentic Taiwanese cuisine, Din Tai Fung’s new location in Downtown Disney is sure to be a popular destination for food enthusiasts and fans of their famous soup dumplings.
