More than 160 teams from California and other western states are competing, with NCAA scouts present to identify future stars. The tournament is expected to generate $2 million in local spending, with hotels like Best Western being sold out. Placer County is positioning itself as a sports tourism destination by hosting a variety of sports competitions. This initiative is not only boosting the local economy but also helping to showcase what the area has to offer. The basketball competition will continue throughout the weekend, and admission is $10 per person.
